Pressure washing is technically a year-round job — we work in most weather other than hard frost — but there are definitely better and worse times of year to book a clean. Here is our honest seasonal guide for homeowners in Leicester and the surrounding county.
Spring — the most popular window
April and May are by far our busiest months. Gardens are coming back to life, people are getting outdoor spaces ready for summer, and a clean drive sets the tone for the whole front of the house. The downside is that we are at our busiest, so book early — usually a week or two ahead — to lock in the date you want.
Summer — fine but quieter
June, July and August are still good months. The surfaces dry quickly after a wash, the biocide treatments work efficiently, and we tend to have more flexibility on dates. Hot, dry weeks are perfect for re-sanding because the sand falls into the joints cleanly.
Autumn — underrated
Late September into early November is one of our favourite windows. The weather is still warm enough for surfaces to dry, the leaves are falling and a clean now means you go into winter with a fresh surface that resists biological growth better. An autumn clean often means you can skip a spring clean.
Winter — possible but limited
We do work through winter on dry days, but hard frost stops us. Surfaces also take longer to dry, which can delay the re-sand step. We tend to recommend booking either side of winter rather than during it.
The honest answer
For most Leicester homes, an autumn or spring clean every 18 to 24 months is the sweet spot. Whatever time of year you book, we will give you an honest opinion before we start.
