Patios in Loughborough take a beating from the climate. Damp winters, leaf-shedding trees, shaded gardens — all of it conspires to turn smart slabs green within a couple of years. Patio cleaning in Loughborough is something we do regularly, and the transformation on a single visit is often dramatic.
The materials we work with
We routinely clean Indian stone, porcelain, sandstone, riven flags, granite setts and standard concrete slabs in and around Loughborough. Each material has its quirks. Indian stone is soft and porous and needs a gentle touch. Porcelain looks intimidating but is actually one of the easiest to clean. Concrete tolerates more pressure but holds onto stains.
The process
We sweep the patio clear, apply a biocide where there is heavy algae or black-spot lichen, allow it to dwell, then rinse with our pressure washer and rotary surface cleaner. The surface cleaner is what gives the even, line-free finish that single-nozzle wands cannot match.
Pointing protection
If your patio is mortar-pointed, we keep the lance away from the joints and use a wider fan nozzle along the edges. This protects the pointing from being blown out. Where pointing has already failed we will let you know.
